AnatomyAnatomy : Review for USMLE Step 1 by Kurt E. Johnson (1998) edition: This latest edition of a book that was already very high yield. You can go through it in three days and feel good about knowing the anatomy that you will need on the exam. Be sure to really pay attention to CTs, MRIs, and the various cross sections. Hopefully, they got rid of some of the typos that were in the older edition.

Clinical Pharmacology Made Ridiculously Simple by Jim Olsen (1997) Price Fetch Pharmcards : Review Cards For Medical Students by Johannsen, Eric C. Pharmacology clearly lends itself to being studied with flash cards. There are two options listed here. Pharmcards are more popular, but they are probably interchangeable. Medical Pharmfile Cards by Medfiles Publishing - Flash card for pharmacology Mosby's Review Cards : Nursing Pharmacology by Paulette Rollant, Karen Hill. I don't know anything about this one but people have been asking for some pharm. flash cards. I am anxious to hear from anyone who has used these cards. PhysiologyThe Constanzo book was extremely helpful for mastering the basics of physiology. Several students found it useful for both first and second year classes. The second book was recommended by a visitor to this site.

The latter presents the material in a more simplistic almost silly manner, but it is probably adequate for the boards. In fact it was great for my neurology rotation.
