  - A great go-to book.From a nursing student: Upon my first semester of nursing school, I found myself unsure of what was expected of me as a student nurse. However, after reading this book, I began to understand the core concepts of nursing, and what it means to be a nurse. Now, in my last year of nursing school, I found myself returning to this book, as it is a great asset to a student nurse as it provides a means of answering quick questions that come up later. (Even includes an excellent index that helps to use as a reference book down the road.) Would recommend to other student nurses, or existing nursing who would like a great reference. Rating:  - Fundamental of Nursing - Not so fundamentalThis textbook is required for our Nursing program, so it was not a personal selection. I am frustrated by the misspellings and lack of proof-reading that is evident in this text. However, the quantity of material is impressive, as is the focus on "Action Plans" and "Nursing Diagnoses". These are very helpful to first-time healthcare providers like me. The CD that accompanies the book is the same as the online content. And basic skills like bedmaking are nowhere to be visualized. Rating: - The prices was right and the item shipped flawlesslyThe item was as expected, it came packaged well and quickly. I had ordered several books from Amazon for school and they came shipped from several areas of the country and with different shipping formats, from UPS to DHL to USPS, I wish they would all come using the same method. The book itself was defined under the requirements of the class I am taking so I can not comment on the quality of the material in the book. |
