![]() - STILL USE TODAY...I FELT LIKE THIS WAS AN OK TEXT, STILL USE AS REFERENCE FOR MY NEWBORN! Rating: - HorribleHaving had to read this cover to cover, and then pass the NCLEX, I can only say....don't use this as a reference. Please, if this book is assigned to you, get another maternity review book to study for the boards! This book was full of errors, and impossible to navigate! Rating: - Not a reliable source for clinicals or for L&DI have these study guides that I need to complete using this book--I cannot find anything in here! First the information is very incorrect--It is very unorganized--in the labor process it goes from positions of the fetus--the delivery--and then to the stages of labor--should the stages go before the acutal delivery?? The glossary sucks! I was trying to find the most general term;CVA tenderness; postpartum H&H; just some lab values for the mom after the delivery and nothing! But when I went into the chapter for postpartum it was there in one sentence I had to search for hours to find anything in here! Terrible book- dont keep for future reference! I am sure not going to! The only good thing is that there are nursing diagnosis for every step; from pregnancy; l&D; postpartum; family life; peds, I can only hope that these will help me- there are interventions and nursing duties too- all in all the book sucks Rating: - filled with errorsThis book is filled with errors. The very first week I had it in class, I noticed several just in the genetics chapter alone! I was hoping to have an OB book to keep as a reference when I'm done with nursing school, but I don't feel that I'd be able to trust this book. If I found many errors in an area that I'm familiar with, how many errors are there that I'm unable to discern since I'm not yet familiar with that material? Many of my classmates found additional errors, and also feel that the book is untrustworthy. It's too bad, because I'm sure that the book does contain worthwhile information. I'm sorry that I wasted the money on this book. I plan to invest my money in a medical OB book instead. |
