![]() - Slow ShipmentI received this book past the date that I needed it for a neurology class. The quality seems fine. Rating: - Very good use of $20... if you have time to colorI found the book very useful while taking the neurology course for 1st year med students. The only gripe (which isn't a real gripe about the book) is that coloring takes a long time. But the slides I did color, I remembered quite easily. The book is very comprehensive and contains a lot of information in the form of text explaining the slides you color. If you are willing to spend the time coloring, it's totally worth getting. Oh and do yourself a favor and get a color pencil set with at least 20 colors. I tried to use about 13 and it was a major failure, as I had to invent checkered schemes, etc, which made me stop using the book. Rating: - Human Brain Coloring BookVery detailed. If you are not a medical student or have some basic knowledge of the brain, you will find this book very confusing. Otherwise, good illustrations that you can color in and label. Rating: - A Good Review ToolThe slides are well-drawn, but the explanations are a bit out-dated and sparse. I think this book is a great review tool, but might be tough for those trying to learn the material for the first time. Rating: - useful tool I used this for a Neurology class as an additional study guide and I found it to be very beneficial tool for the learning process and who does not love to color! Yes, buy it if you need the extra help. It gets detailed in the later chapters (our brains are complex :) ,but I find if you go over the things you need the work on the most, it will help. |
