  - 2nd & 3rd EditionThe latest printing of the Guide to Clinical Preventive Services includes the "3rd edition" addendum. The 3rd edition updates are new recommendations that in some cases replace chapters from the 2nd edition and the rest are entirely new. The 2nd edition is presented intact with the 3rd provided as an appendix of 14 additional chapters. As new chapters become available, they will be provided in subsequent printings. Rating:  - Great info but now dated!I have used this guide for many years in my practice as a family nurse practitioner. I have also required it of my FNP students. Yet, now is the time for an update as "gold standard" care is rapidly changing. Rating: - A Great Resource!As a Family Practice resident, I have used this book many times to help me quickly determine the most appropriate preventative care for my patients. Although quite voluminous, it does provide quick access as well as a thorough review of the reccommended screening guidelines for health care maintinence. |
