![]() - Detailed medical textbookThis is a detailed medical textbook with chapters that read very much like journal articles. Probably a relatively difficult book for the non-medical person unless you're willing to use a medical dictionary quite a bit. Each chapter has dozens or hundreds of references to published journal articles. There are some photos, both black and white and in color. The list of abreviations isn't 100% complete, but still useful. The chapter authors are from the USA and from around the world, with several big-name university research hospitals represented. Despite the deep medical jargon, I am finding this to be a valuable reference that is helping me understand what is known about vasculitis, and also to see how much more research needs to be done in this family of rare conditions. Rating: - VasculitisThis book is an essential addition to the library of every rheumatologist, internist, and dermatologist. Rating: - The definitive resourceThis treatise, both usable and scholarly, is destined to become known as the authoritative source on the topic. |
