Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Rich B from who cares????
I am having surgery in less than a week so I was reading all the books I could find on the subject. When I read this one I was just screaming WHO CARES? The whole book is about this Rich chick from Florida who's husband sells million dollar mansions. She goes threw her experience of weight loss surgery but the whole time she just talks about how she went to this resturarnt or that one. She went to the spa bla bla bla... After she loses her weight (her motto is somthing about food not being better than thin feels?) she decides she wants to have plastic surgery. Not because her pouch is incumberson to her but b/c she wants a total body lift and to spend her rich husbands money. I mean PLU-EEZE who really lives that that?

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - GREAT recipes, but skim over the "Oh I am SO glad I'm rich" mini-autobiography
Good WLS recipes and some good common sense. But the tone she takes in her little "diary" is SO pretentious. Oh, "travelled to Europe on a whim"..."I went to our condo in Daytona"..."I had my sushi-chef create me a special roll"..."I had a lovely girls-night-out in the limo"...yeah, that sounds like your average WLS patient!

BTW, this might sound snarky, but I HAVE to say it...there is NO FREAKIN' WAY the author weighs 135 pounds. Look at her website (the address is mentioned many times in the book). There are other pictures there, too. COME ON, Maria! Be honest!

Great product fast service would buy from seller again. The product was everything the seller said it would be.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Very thin... on useful information
This was an awful waste of money. Little more here than... "aren't I amazing, and having a good time now?" I have found some of her advice to be contrary to current medical thinking and I have found some of the products she sells - not to be in the best interest of post-op patients.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great book, very inspiring!
I really enjoyed this book. Unlike some other reviews I don't think that she came across snobby or stuck up or full of herself. I think she came across as a woman who had finally gained confidence and was finally getting a chance to experience life! Yes, she has money and therefor has the means to travel and go shopping and throw parties, but that shouldn't be a reason to not like this book. Susan Leach worked hard to achieve her goal, and I think her story was very inspiring. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I wish the book had been longer. Half of the book is recipes and I think she should have maybe only had 1/3 be recipes, and then most of the book devoted to her weight loss story. I think the only reason people don't like this book is because they are jealous of her life style. But I for one, really enjoyed it and it inspired me a great deal. I recommend it.
