Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Has its pros and cons..
When I first picked up this book i was impressed but the quality of print. It is printed very sturdy as not to rip which was a plus right off the bat. The price was very right for my first impression, I can say this with no hesitation. As I perused the book further, I found it missing some of the KEY information that is tested on step 3. I find it a great book if you need an adjunct book for guidelines, the author has done a very good job at that, however, to answer the board favorite question, what is the next best test, most accurate step etc. it does not do a great job at all. It is decent for theory of high yield topics, like I said, as an adjunct to another source, or for night time light reading, however it would not be good as a primary source. I rank it higher than First aid, but for me, Master the Boards was a more worthwhile investment. Just my two cents!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent, much better than First Aid

This is the best USMLE Step3 book on the market. Period. The author should be commended. He has taken an aggressive this is what you need to know approach . I really like the quality of the questions too. Would be nice to have more questions online .

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Highly Recommend
This is a very good book. I've spent money on Kaplan, Crush, First Aid etc and can say-this is (by far) my go-to one. It focuses more on diagnosis/treatment and doesn't have a lot of unrelated trivia, it just tells you what the committees recommend (like ACOG, ADA, etc). It has some questions in the text but their actual practice questions-and there's a free website with more questions (I don't think you even have to buy the book for the website). Seems like the important subjects are outlined a lot more, too (concise and relevant goes a long way in test prep). Personally, I want a book that takes the content for the test, distills it to what is tested the most, and gives a solid review. Triage does that better than any of the others. Take it from someone that knows (and spent too much finding out), this book is really very impressive.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good Review

This is a very good review book, however it is not as complete as one would like it to be. I like the glossy paper and the color pictures. The content is thorough. A good investment if you have the money.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Step 3 Triage
very concise, written with a Family Medicine background in mind. Deals with the common concepts likely to be found on the Step 3 of the USMLE. Perfect for review ONLY after having studied larger texts.
