There are biographical notes for the major "players" in the fields of psychotherapy, as well as the breakdown of each therapy into distinct examinations of basic theory, key concepts, techniques, roles of therapist, contributions to psychotherapy, and limitations of the theory in practical applications. This book is designed for student use both in its format and its clear, concise language. By way of definition between the theories, Corey includes a case study of "Stan" which each of the theories address through their own constructs in their various chapters.
