![]() - Surprisingly UselessAlthough an outline of Pugel's textbook could potentially be a lifesaver, this is so poorly compiled that it is just about useless. Basically the book contains a list of all words deemed useful in each chapter followed by the definition. I am not sure what criteria was used but my best guess is that they selected every word with more than two syllables. For instance, "Economics" and "Competition" and other staples of the discipline are defined painfully in every chapter. Moreover, Pugel offers keywords at the end of each chapter for free and even gives page numbers where a good definition can be found. This makes a commercial outline seem unnecessary. A good outline would simply rehash what Pugel already offers. In short: Pugel's textbook would benefit little from a decent outline because the textbook has its own chapter summaries. This Cram101 book does not even qualify as a decent outline because its word selection is terrible. Do not waste any money on this book. |
