 - Flip Video UltraWell I just got my flip video today. I took a few videos and was excited. I got frustrated when I got home because when you plug it in it doesn't upload like it should. I have a PC not a Mac. I tried for hours. Eventually I called and she gave me this link.www.theflip.com/app/prius/31/update/ when I did that I got the program I needed. After that finishes you go to My computer and click on the flip icon then on the flip video again and it should come up. So far as I type this I'm still working on it. I'm testing to see if my videos will upload and send. Right now I am pleased that it is working. If it didn't I would have immediately took it back to the store. I'm keeping it now. You can even burn it to a DVD now that is awesome. Also you can go to CVS if you don't want to deal with making it. DO Not use the zoom you really won't need too and it's useless. It's a great camera though. I'm excited and I can capture precious moments and share them. Built in software also has custom movie maker. So you can add neat effects. It even has digital cards at your options to send to friends or family- from Birthday cards, to anniversries, to vacations. 2. The con- Upload time is long. For the average video takes about 10 mins to upload to any site. Even to send by e-mail to someone takes about 10 mins. That might be different if you have a faster processor. I personally own a Dell Dimension desktop 1.80 gigahertz Pentium IV. Hope this helps. Take care. Rating:  - The good, the bad, the uglyI thought this product was a really great idea, read the reviews and bought it. Simple to set up and get going, I could readily see my images on the screen. But that's where the bad/ugly began. I tried every which way to view the video on TV's and computer without any success at all. I'm not a novice with any of these devices. I went back and forth with the product folks and they were useless. The Good: After total frustration I emailed Amazon about returning the product and they responded almost immediately with directions. I sent product back and received a full refund within a week or so (kudos to Amazon for their customer service and satisfaction). The Flip folks have a good idea but they need to work a bit more on compatibility and support. Rating: - So simple!!!The flip video is so simple to use- so much fun to have. And you can't beat the price. I got in orange and white and it looks cool! Would buy again. Rating: - Great for quick videoFor quick, easy video, you can't beat it. Very easy to download, share, embed. I definitely take more video of my kids because it's so convenient. The sound is not ideal, but for the price, it can't be beat. Three friends have bought one after seeing mine. |
